We at BVB Substrates are convinced that a healthy growth can only be quaranteed by having an optimal base product. Every day, there-fore, we take care of the production and delivery of that optimal base product: the substrate. Our knowledge, experience and state-of-the-art production facilities have made us the reliable supplier we are today for growers at home and abroad. Furthermore, a good customer-friendly approach is, to us, of the utmost importance.
Our company
We have been expanding steadily as a complete Dutch company and are now one of the biggest in our field. We produce our products at three location in the country.
The best basic materials
The basis for a good substrate is to be found in the basic materials. In addition to the RHP checks, these basic materials are subjected to an even closer check at BVB, in which our own laboratory, plays an important role. As we have to be able to rely on the basic material, all incoming basic materials are checked for toxicity, weed content and chemical composition. Furthermore, our locations that supply us with the basic materials, are regularly visited.
State-of-the-art production methods
Our sieve installation provides the means for a consistent end product. This overcomes the problem of less consistent basic materials, which all compost manufacturers have to deal with. Computer-controlled mixing lines guarantee you always receive the same mixture with an optimal composition. From every load we deliver to you we take a sample, so that our own laboratory can determine its chemical composition. The samples are then sealed and stored for six months in order to facilitate easy tracement in the unlikely event of an investigation. We keep the major part of our large stock of basic materials under cover. It is the basis of a guaranteed supply, even during the most severe winter.
Customer-friendly delivery
The basis of a pleasant working relationship is also to be found from our large and comprehensive range of delivery options. This range includes from loose tipper deliveries (20 m³ to 100 m³), walking floor lorries and containers to big bags, cardboard boxes or in standard bags (10 liters to 80 liters) – whatever your preference. Thanks to our own fleet of lorries, we are able to act upon your wishes quickly and accurately.
Alternative substrates
In addition of all type of potting compost mixtures we are an important supplier of alternative substrates, like pumice stone, cocos-peat, oasis and Basalan Rockwool. These substrates are being used more in professional horticultural. Together with our broad range of additives, like cocos-fibre, bark, perlite, cocoschips BVB offers the best product for any situation. Our wide choice of the most important substrates enables us to advise you of the best option for you and your cultivation.
